TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has taken a break from hosting her afternoon programme for a romantic trip to Zimbabwe with her husband, Steve Smith. However, the couple has left their luxuries behind journey abroad a camping trip in the African region, which has seen them get up close and personal with breathtaking wildlife and stunning scenery.

However, the duo, who have been together for 33 years, encountered mishaps after Lorraine hilariously and accidentally brushed her teeth with "travel wash." The TV cameraman then joked that the pair's equal stenches from their getaway were "cancelling each other out". Taking to his Instagram, he shared a clip from the outdoors as the couple dined and enjoyed the scenery before bedding down in their van.

Steve captioned the video: "Another great day at mana pools. One of us brushed their teeth with travel wash ( no me ) before we set off the see what we could find"

"Lots@of ele's antelopes, warthogs, jackals, hippos and crocs. The wild dogs have moved on and we never saw lions but we heard them in the night. Kept me awake! (sic)

He continued: "We're both so mingin now but at least we're cancelling each other out!

"Finally getting used to the 4WD with the funny wee second gear lever and the hub locks. Early night, up in the tent at 6 like toddlers before the bitey things come out of the bush."

Among the fans in the comments who were amazed by the clips and snapshot from the trip was Lorraine, who defended her mistake.

She added: "To be fair the travel wash was in the same wash at as the toothpaste and both tubes the same size."

Throughout their trip, Steve has kept his followers updated with day-to-day insights from their trip, which started earlier this month (July 20) with clips of Lorraine admiring the views from the plane window.

Ahead of the their road trip, he also shared photos of Lorraine make-up free at the airport and penned: "Made it! On the way to the guest house stopped off at Paula's place for some piri piri chicken with Ant and Costa. Brilliant.
We hit the road tomorrow.#manapools."
