Manchester United and Newcastle are reportedly eyeing up Benjamin Sesko, hoping the Slovenian striker can replicate his impressive form at RB Leipzig if he makes the move to the Premier League. Ruben Amorim's quest for fresh attacking prowess has reportedly led him to the towering 22-year-old. Arsenal had previously expressed interest in Sesko, but with Mikel Arteta close to securing a deal for long-term target Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP, Sesko now seems a feasible option for United.
German media suggest that Sesko could be available for around £60-70 million, a drop from his previous valuation. The Red Devils have been monitoring the player for several years and even made an approach last summer, only to be told that Sesko was staying put in the Bundesliga.
Newcastle have also made contact with Sesko as they prepare for the possibility of losing Alexander Isak to Liverpool or Saudi Arabia this summer.
However, early praise from a team-mate will have fans keen to see Sesko in England and suggest to Newcastle or Manchester United that they may be pursuing a future superstar.
The 6'5" forward arrived in Germany amid high expectations, following a £20m transfer from RB Salzburg to the Red Bull Arena in 2023.
Sesko had already made a name for himself at Salzburg and Liefering in Austria's top division two years earlier.

Ridle Baku, who joined Leipzig from Wolfsburg in January, was quick to sing the praises of the young talent. The German international disclosed that Sesko's extraordinary talent was evident from their very first training session together, immediately catching Baku's attention."
Our striker Sesko, I was really impressed, to be honest," he told FourFourTwo in March. "The first training session, I knew already that he's a good player. But I'm speaking about potential, probably he's not [currently at] potential he could be, but right now, what I saw already, very impressive.
"He has everything to be a world-class player. From a physical standpoint, Sesko presents an intimidating presence on the pitch."
Significant focus has been placed on the forward's towering frame, though he also demonstrates remarkable pace for someone of his size, drawing comparisons to Erling Haaland.
Baku isn't the only team-mate to heap praise upon him during his time in Germany. Yussuf Poulsen, who has stayed with Leipzig throughout their rise from Germany's lower divisions, described the star as "the best" striking partner he's collaborated with."
As a striker, he's the best I've played with," the Dane revealed to TNT Sports last year. "If you look at his abilities, he has everything a top number nine needs.
"He's still young, he still needs to learn, not the technical things about being a striker but maybe more the finesse side. He has everything, strength shooting, technique, everything."
