Charles Hanson made a headline-grabbing return to on Monday - and viewers were quick to react, all saying the same thing after seeing him back on screen. The BBC auctioneer, who had been off air since his arrest last year, appeared in a segment on the latest episode just weeks after being unanimously cleared in a high-profile domestic abuse trial. And many fans welcomed him back with open arms.
One wrote: "So glad Charles Hanson is back on Bargain Hunt," while another tweeted: "Charles Hanson is back!!!" A third added: "Ooooh Charles is back now he's been acquitted" followed by a party emoji. Hanson, who has also featured on Flog It! and Antiques Roadshow, was unanimously cleared of coercive control and assault allegations relating to his wife Rebecca.

Hanson denied all allegations and claimed that he had been the one suffering behind closed doors.
During the trial, which began on February 10, the court heard allegations Hanson violently put her in a headlock while she was pregnant. He plead not guilty to the charges, and said that he felt relieved that "the truth has finally come out" after he was cleared.
Outside the courtroom, the Bargain Hunt star told reporters: "I'm delighted that after a year and a half the truth has finally come out. I can finally live my life again.
"I feel this burden has finally been lifted. It has been a tormentous time and all I want now is to readjust to what has been such an ordeal. I am so relieved that this is all over."
