Thomas Skinner's fling slams narcissists in cryptic post after Strictly star's confession

Send Push

Thomas Skinner'sfling Amy-Lucy O'Rourke has shared a cryptic post after the Strictly Come Dancing confessed to having a 'fling' with the beautician boss. Thomas, 34, who shot to fame when he appeared on The Apprentice in 2019, recently admitted to having a brief fling with the weight-loss and aesthetics owner, two weeks after he tied the knot with his wife Sinead in 2022.

Amy-Lucy reposted a quote about narcissists but it remains unknown who she is referring to. The post read: "Narcissists are crybullies. A crybully is someone who plays the victim in a situation they created."

Thomas, who is a father of three, recently admitted to a two-week fling with Amy-Lucy before guilt consumed him and he confessed to his wife Sinead Skinner. The reality TV star said he was beyond grateful that his wife forgave him.

Thomas, who is set to appear on the BBC dancing programme in a matter of weeks, said in a recent interview: "I had a fling. It was nothing more than that. It was the one time, it was a mistake. I woke up feeling absolutely terrible about it."

He continued to tell The Sun on Sunday: "I felt so guilty. I told my wife. I let her down in that brief moment of madness where I wasn’t thinking, where I didn’t appreciate what I had. "

He added: "When I told my wife, I fully understood if she was to never speak to me again. No one else made me do what I’ve done. But it just shows something so brief could ruin your life."

Thomas met Sinead in a bar seven years ago. And just two years on from meeting her, he decided to propose which came three months after they found out they were expecting their first child.

The former market trader recently hit headlines after he suddenly got up and abruptly left a press call after he snatched a reporter's phone.

Taking to social media to address what has been described as a meltdown, he told his fans: "To set the record straight off the back of yesterday, during one of the interviews, a journalist placed their phone on the table to record the conversation. I happened to catch a glimpse of the screen and saw numerous messages - not about Strictly, but about a personal story from my past."

He continued: "I've been through some difficult times in my life, which I've worked hard to move on from. In that moment, seeing it there caught me off guard. I felt it was best to step away and gather myself. This had nothing to do with the interviews or Strictly itself. I'm sorry I picked up someone else's phone and I don't even know if the journalist realised their messages were visible, and I don't want to suggest any bad intentions on their part."

Thomas concluded: "What I do want to say is how excited I am to be part of Strictly this year. I'm so grateful for all the love, kindness and support I've been shown so far. It means the world to me, and I can't wait to give it my all on that dancefloor. Bosh."

Strictly is set to kick off on September 20 on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer.
