Mark Allison captured the hilarious moment nearly spoiled his fun as he soared into the skies to catch a glimpse of the sunset. His video, which boasts an impressive three million views in the three days since he shared it, shows his encounter with the the boys in blue after touching down in a field.
"Has someone complained about me?" he queried, as police cars rolled up shortly after his landing. Mark reassured the two police officers who came over: "I've just landed, but I'm going to go up again in a minute and have a look at the sunset - the farmer lets me use it so it's all good."
The officers soon appeared impressed, however, and proceeded to learn more about his airborne hobby. One enquired: "How high did you get in that?" to which Mark responded: "I get to 10,000 feet, but you're not supposed to stay there for too long as you get a headache... and it's cold... it's about minus 20C up there."

Sharing his relaxation routine with a grin, Mark added: "It's good, I have a stressful day at work so I just go up in the clouds and chill out and have a cup of tea." As the police bid farewell, he observed: "Well it was a nice evening to have a stroll."
Mark wasn't done yet in his video – he then launched himself skyward once again, this time pouring a cup of tea from a travel mug amidst the clouds to toast the setting sun as promised. Concluding his adventure, he mused: "I'll tell you what, it's nice to have a cup of tea in the sunset, I highly recommend."
Mark also whipped out his camera to snap some breath-taking shots before descending back to earth. Reacting to comments about why the police showed up, Mark clarified they were simply "patrolling the railway" and wanted to check on his activities.
In the TikTok comments, one user joked: "Genuinely thought this was a drone issue for a minute. Oh no, he's flying!". Another joked: "I thought your were joking about the cup of tea!"
While a third expressed admiration: "Incredible way to end a day - good for you." And a fourth confessed: "I imagine this is lovely but my god I'd pass out with fear."
The police's laid-back approach towards Mark's aerial excursion also garnered applause, meanwhile. "I like courteous members of society and courteous enforcers of the law. How it should be," praised one commentator.
Another shared their support: "These are interactions we expect from our police officers and to them I give unequivocal support."
In other exchanges, Mark divulged more about paragliding after curiosity from viewers, noting he can cover distances near 100 miles and is licenced, having trained at the BHPA Paramotor School. He mentioned his paramotor set him back around £9,000 "all in, new".
And addressing safety worries, Mark reassured his audience: "Any error is 99% due to the pilot. I fly with a reserve parachute and always ensure I have a safe field to land in at all times. I have very good third party insurance up to £10m.
"It takes a few weeks of training, but it can be done in a week if you get good ."
