A video of three young women performing dangerous stunts from the sunroof of a moving car in Malad West has gone viral. Taking cognisance of a complaint on social media, the Goregaon Traffic Police filed a complaint with the Bangur Nagar Police Station on Thursday.
Subsequently, a case was registered against five unidentified individuals for alleged rash driving and acts endangering life.
According to the FIR, the incident took place on Wednesday night between Link Road, Mariyappan Temple, and Mith Chowki Signal in Kandivali West and Malad West. An individual travelling in a vehicle behind the car filmed the stunt on his mobile phone.
The video shows three young women performing dangerous dances from the sunroof of a speeding four-wheeler (MH 47 BZ 8120). At the same time, a young man sitting next to the driver was seen leaning out of the door and performing stunts while others shouted and danced inside the car. All of them appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

The police have booked five unidentified individuals under sections 281 (rash or negligent driving or riding on a public way) and 125 (acts endangering life or personal safety) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with sections 123 (prohibition of riding on the running board, top, or bonnet of a motor vehicle), 177 (general penalties for violating the Act), and 184 (dangerous driving) of the Motor Vehicles Act, as well as relevant sections of the Maharashtra Police Act.
