Alot (Madhya Pradesh): Students of the town and surrounding villages are unable to secure admission in IX grade at CM Rise School as all the seats have been filled up.
This year, the school reached its capacity of 1,635 seats, leaving 12 students from the integrated government middle school and around 80 from nearby villages without a seat in the CM Rise School. With no other government schools available, these students are compelled to take admission in private institutions.
The Government Utkrisht Higher Secondary School was closed in 2022 and was replaced by CM Rise School, which began operating in the Kanya Shala building after the original structure was demolished.
CM Rise School principal Feroz Khan said that a proposal has been sent to upgrade local government schools. The admission process for the new academic session will begin on June 16 and efforts are underway to address the issue.
BEO Dilip Sharma said a letter has been written to District Education Officer with a proposal to upgrade the Government Integrated Secondary School of Alot and Vikramgarh Government High School. In the new academic session, admission process for students will start on June 16. Before that, efforts are being made to resolve the issue.
