Indore (Madhya Pradesh): City crime branch arrested four men from two different places and recovered MD drugs, cannabis, a car and four mobile phones all worth Rs 25 lakh from their possession.
The accused allegedly confessed to bringing drugs from another city to supply it in the city at a higher price.
According to DCP (crime) Rajesh Kumar Tripathi, in the first action, the crime branch team caught three men named Annu Chouhan, Aman Singh and Saurabh Singh, all residents of Pithampur in Dhar district from Scheme Number 140.
During a search, about 69.42 grams of MD drugs were recovered from them. They informed the police that they had bought the drugs from some people in different cities and were roaming in the city to sell it to their customers at a higher price. Police said that the accused are drug addicts. They are being questioned further.
Another crime branch team arrested a man named Jeevan Solanki, a resident of Gandhi Nagar area of the city, from the Super Corridor while he was carrying cannabis illegally. More than 5.5 kilograms of cannabis was recovered from him. The accused informed the police that he is a drug addict and wanted to earn more money in less time, so he started selling cannabis to the people at a higher price. A case under section 8/20 of the NDPS Act was registered. Other people associated with the accused are being searched by the crime branch.
