Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A chaos erupted at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore city on Sunday after a flight to Jabalpur was cancelled at the last moment, unannounced.
Passengers had arrived at the airport as early as 6 am. Initially, they were informed that the flight would be delayed by 30 minutes.
Around 7:15 am, passengers were taken from the terminal by bus towards the aircraft. However, they were kept waiting inside the bus for over an-hour-and-a-half.
Later, they were informed that the flight was cancelled due to technical issues and were brought back to the terminal.
This led to anger and protests from passengers.
The Indigo flight from Indore to Jabalpur, scheduled to depart at 6:55 am, left many passengers frustrated.
Around 9 am, the airline officially informed passengers about the cancellation. Following the protest, Indigo offered full refunds and rebooking options.

In a separate development, India’s aviation regulator DGCA has taken strict action against three senior Air India officials for serious lapses in crew scheduling and rostering. One of the suspended officials is a Divisional Vice President.
The DGCA has warned Air India that any future violations related to crew duties could lead to suspension of licenses and other strict operational restrictions.
Air India has issued a statement confirming that the DGCA’s orders have been implemented.
