'Couple goals' on bike turns costly on Noida expressway; police slap fine of over ₹50K; watch viral video

A man and woman performing a dangerous stunt on a moving motorcycle along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway on Sunday have been fined ₹53,500 by the Noida traffic police.

A five-second video of the incident, which went viral on social media the same day, shows the man riding the motorcycle while the woman sits facing backward on the fuel tank, her legs draped across him. Neither of them is wearing a helmet, though the woman is seen holding one. The motorcycle bears a Delhi registration number.

The local police have been alerted and instructed to take strict action against the duo. Authorities also confirmed that CCTV cameras on the expressway captured the stunt.


The Noida Traffic Police acted on the viral video on Sunday and imposed a fine of ₹53,500 on the motorcycle owner.

In response to a post on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the incident, the traffic police confirmed the action, stating, “Taking cognizance of the said complaint, action has been taken against the concerned vehicle for violating traffic rules by issuing e-challan (fine Rs. 53500/-) as per rules.”
