If last week was anything to go by for Arsenal, the coming days could be even busier for the Gunners.
They kicked things off with the arrival of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from London rivals Chelsea, followed by the long-awaited unveiling of Martin Zubimendi on Sunday. A deal more than 12 months in the making, the Spain international arrives as a crucial, yet exciting, addition to Mikel Arteta ’s midfield.
If reports are to be believed, Arsenal aren’t planning to stop there. Reinforcements in the forward line are still urgently needed, and those moves now appear to be gathering serious momentum, while questions also remain at centre-back.

With that in mind, here’s a look at the deals Arsenal could look to finalise this week as their transfer business steps up.
The big name on everyone’s lips is Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres. The Sweden international has been linked with several top European clubs this summer as he looks to take the next step in his career, and it seems Arsenal have surged ahead in the race for his signature.
RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko was previously believed to be the club’s primary striker target earlier in the window. However, the complexity of any potential deal, combined with reports of Leipzig’s sky-high asking price, has seemingly prompted Andrea Berta to turn attention elsewhere.
Whether it’s reports out of Portugal or England, all signs now point to a deal for Gyokeres being wrapped up sooner rather than later, with the player himself reportedly set on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
In fact, the latest from CNN Portugal claims an Arsenal delegation visited Lisbon last week and left with the deal close to completion. Gyokeres is understood to be preparing for a move to London, which also points to the likelihood of this transfer getting done.
Elsewhere in the forward line, Chelsea’s Noni Madueke remains a name that simply won’t go away in relation to Arsenal. The 23-year-old winger is expected to be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.
According to The Athletic last week, Madueke has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal and is open to making the switch, meaning the next step is for the two clubs to agree a fee. Some reports suggest Chelsea will demand around £50m, though it remains to be seen whether Arsenal are prepared to meet that valuation.
Finally, attention has also turned to the defence, with Arsenal among a number of Premier League sides who missed out on former Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen, who recently joined Real Madrid. Now, focus appears to have shifted to Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera .
At 21, he represents both a highly promising long-term prospect and a valuable squad option in the immediate term. ESPN recently reported that Mosquera has also agreed personal terms with Arsenal, who are now working to strike a deal with the La Liga club.
Valencia are understood to have offered the defender a new contract in an effort to keep him in Spain, but are unlikely to succeed, with a move to Arsenal seen as a highly attractive opportunity for the player.
