Three of Arsenal’s Premier League fixtures in August have been decided and in two cases moved for live TV coverage, it has been confirmed.
Arsenal will play three matches in the Premier League during this month as they kick off their campaign to finally win England’s top flight with a trip to Manchester United at Old Trafford. The kick-off time has already been penned in for 4:30pm UK time. It will be shown on Sky Sports.
Arsenal will also have a League Cup match, taking place either the week commencing September 15 or September 22, depending on the Gunners’ European responsibilities – most likely the latter as Matchday One of the League Phase of the Champions League is due to be scheduled between September 16 and 18. The draw for the League Phase takes place on August 28.

When the fixtures for September have been provided, we will be sure to provide the details. Following their opening match against Manchester United, Arsenal will host their first game of the season at the Emirates Stadium against newly promoted Leeds United.
This game has been chosen for broadcast and moved to 17:30 on Saturday, August 23rd. This will be Mikel Arteta's first chance to get an idea of their new Premier League opponents.
Then another tough clash and naturally one chosen to be broadcast, travelling in gameweek three to Anfield to face Liverpool. This match has been moved to Sunday, with a 16:30 kick-off and, like the Leeds game, will also be shown on Sky Sports.
Following the Champions League draw and the close of the summer transfer window, the first international break arrives, giving some players a break, but many a time where Mikel Arteta will be praying that his players survive unscathed, unlike so many did last season. Martin Odegaard and Riccardo Calafiori both suffered significant problems during the previous campaign while away with their nations.
They return from the break to host Nottingham Forest and Manchester City before travelling to Newcastle. There is an expectation details on these fixtures will be decided soon.
